Information regarding 2022-2023 Influenza Vaccine

Our flu clinic has been scheduled and we are encouraging each patient to obtain a flu shot to reduce the risk of getting the flu.

(This event is free to our Seattle Medical Associates patients).

Non-SMA member vaccinations - $75.00 each

*High dose flu shots will be avail upon request for patients over age 65.

 If you cannot attend, we encourage you to obtain a flu shot at your local pharmacy.

Due to the pandemic, walk-in flu shots will NOT be available at SMA this year.

*For the 2022-2023 flu season, there are three flu vaccines that are preferentially recommended for people 65 years and older. These are Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent vaccine, Flublok Quadrivalent recombinant  flu vaccine and Fluad Quadrivalent adjuvanted flu vaccine. This recommendation was based on a review of available studies which suggests that, in this age group, these vaccines are potentially more effective than standard dose of flu vaccines. There is no preferential recommendation for people younger than 65 years.

SMA welcomes New Clinic Manager, Christina Gibbs

As of November 1, 2021 Seattle Medical Associates is delighted to welcome our newest clinic manager--Christina Gibbs.

Christina Gibbs RN has worked extensively in the Seattle area in both traditional and nontraditional healthcare settings, with a focus on supporting quality patient care and operations, staff training and development, and process improvement.

Our excitement for her arrival is matched by her own: “SMA has a long standing history of providing exceptional personalized medical care. I am thrilled to be a part of the team. I endeavor to honor the continued commitment to keep our patient’s care at the heart of all that we do.”
